EUTEENS4GREEN Projects
#EUTEENS4GREEN Awarded Beneficiaries
Ride a Bike 4 a Green Life
- 💡 Description
- The general goal of the project is to promote sustainable habits, green mobility, well-being and a healthy lifestyle. They aim to make young people understand the importance of using bicycles on a daily basis. They want to equip young people for the challenges of the green transition and to empower them to become active actors in green life. They live in Gorj County, one of the most affected areas of carbon footprint, and with this project they want to encourage young people from our community to use methods to reduce carbon footprint locally. The project is based on the benefits of using a bicycle daily and on the need to change the lifestyle for a green future. They started from the idea that our area is deeply affected by pollution due to the Oltenia Energy Complex and the area needs solutions to improve our standard of living and to connect with nature and have a healthier life. The project team understands that the time to act is now. So, they want to turn our passion for sustainability into action and want to contribute to changing the mindsets of young people and make them aware that using a bicycle every day to school, to job or to go out brings us all closer to a green future. Through this project, they want to encourage young people to take the initiative and actively participate in changing their lifestyle and those around them and to use the bicycle as much as possible.
