- 💡 Description
- The lectures and workshops in 22 schools in our region, as well as ebooks and webinars, will concentrate on soft skills, climate change, career counselling and its influence on just transition. \n\n\nThe proposed lectures and workshops in 22 schools of Eastern Wielkopolska will concentrate on soft skills, climate change, career counselling and its influence on just transition. The most important thing for the project, however, will not only be informing and transferring the knowledge but also drawing conclusions from that process - they want to answer the question of how we can turn what they would have learned into business ideas and where to look for our place in the future local labour market. Their goal is to show young people how the job market functions, how it changes during the transition, and what opportunities the transition creates. The project would like to pass them the basic knowledge about climate change and how it influences mining regions carrying out the process of transition, as well as how to use this process to shape their career path in the region.\n\nThey plan to conduct day-long educational meetings in all secondary schools in the Eastern Wielkopolska region (taking into account the risk of some schools refusing to participate in the project). Their goal is to make the classes we conduct as engaging and participatory as possible, so they want to use methods we have used that have been proven in other activism work. They value consultation tools, participatory games, creative workshops, co-creation, etc.\n\nIn addition, Skills for the future also wants to reach a wider group that did not participate in the educational meetings (e.g adolescents from older grades of elementary schools, parents, guardians, and teachers) with the most important content and conclusions, so they would like to include in the project conducting three online webinars (one per month) on the topics indicated earlier. The webinar recordings will be made available on a Youtube channel with subtitles and Polish Sign Language translation.\n\nThe third goal is to create a short PDF ebook online, which will include the most important conclusions from our meetings, self-work worksheets and tips for young people who are looking for inspiration for self-development.
