- \"Mentally ill students should also have information about the Climate crisis and solutions for it.\"\n\"We have decided to create a project for students with special educational needs /mentally handicapped/\nstudying at special schools in the Košice region. We have chosen five special schools because we believe\nthat mentally ill students should also have information about the Climate crisis and solutions for it. We want\nto help special schools because, in the Košice region, there are aged special schools that don't have\ngreenery on the exterior and they are not supported for improvement by the government.\nThat is why we have created the project Special schools gardening workshops which learn pupils aged 7-13\nyears how to care about the environment, learn them how to take care of plants, and also help schools with\nvegetation on the exterior.\nWe want to do workshops for pupils where they can understand how to protect the environment and also\nhow to grow beneficial plants in their homes.\nThat is why we desire to teach them how to grow plants and in cooperation with their schools, we would like\nto create a space in the exterior where they can plant and grow their own plants. After ripening they can\ntaste fruits that they grew themselves or they can see lovely flowers growing in the garden. After all, they will\nknow that it is not hard to grow plants. Pupils will also discover that it is important to have green spaces on\nthe exterior that helps biodiversity and they will have a fine place outside of school where they can go and\nde-stress after courses.\nBecause pupils have psychological needs such as ADHD, hyperactivity, etc. we will have to consult our\nworkshop with their teachers and other experts.\"
