💡 Description: The project aims to equip the youth in Rhein-Kreis Neuss, Germany, with the necessary knowledge and skills to address the issues arising from coal mining in the region, sustainable energy transition, green transition, climate justice, and the energy crisis in Europe. The project will involve awareness-raising/communication activities, capacity-building actions, research, stakeholder engagement, and providing innovative solutions. The awareness-raising/communication activities include producing a pre-recorded video to explain the impacts of climate change and how it can be mitigated in the region. Capacity-building programs will be conducted in the form of in-person training on green transition, energy crisis, and sustainable transition. Research activities will be conducted in schools, youth clubs, and NGOs in the region. The project will engage youth groups in Rhein-Kreis Neuss such as GRÜNE JUGEND, Katholische Jugendwerke in Rhein-Kreis Neuss eV, Junge Liberale Rhein-Kreis Neuss, and Jugendring Neuss. A pre-training survey will be conducted at the beginning of the project, and a post-training survey will be conducted at the end to track behavioral changes and interest in climate advocacy actions. Experts and volunteers will be engaged throughout the project.
