- GAF will raise awareness on environmental topics, while also bolstering youth engagement / participation in actions and decisions that could contribute to a healthier and cleaner environment.\n\"This project aims at organizing the Green Art Festival (GAF) in Prahova region, Romania. GAF will raise awareness on key environmental topics, while also creating the grounds for educational initiatives aimed to bolster youth engagement and participation in actions and decisions that could contribute to a healthier and cleaner environment. To ensure higher visibility and limitless participation even in the case of youth outside Prahova region, the event will be promoted through a strong communication and awareness campaign. The event will be targeted at teenagers and young people, as agents of change, to encourage their involvement in climate action. Promoting the idea of social change in the field of climate change and green transition, GAF will feature artworks, including digital art, thus being an expression platform for the youth, and especially high-school students, who are interested in environmental topics, such as the green transition, climate crisis, waste management and selective collection, and other related topics. During the event and the related awareness campaign, all these topics will be framed in a way appropriate for young people, that is by promoting an open style, proactive dialogue, and gamified content.\nThe project’s activities are designed to encourage young people to take climate action both in a passive way, through listening and being informed on climate crisis issues, but also in an active way – promoting and developing business ideas and solutions (tech) for climate issues.\nGAF will consist in two days, as follows: day 1 will feature thematic workshops tackling relevant topics, such as the impact of climate change, disinformation myth busters, recommendations for contributing to a healthy and sustainable environment. Day 2 will be entirely dedicated to arts exhibitions (including digital art) with art objects created by young artists based in Romania. The exhibitions will highlight the impact of climate change on multiple sectors (e.g., industry, transports, education, media), at the creators’ choice. GAF will encourage a high diversity concerning both the artistic forms and formulas and background of the exhibitors. Young people from all areas (urban, rural) and vulnerable social demographic backgrounds will be encouraged to actively join the festival. At the end of the festival, prizes will be awarded by a committee formed of experts and scholars to the most inspiring artworks.\"
