EUTEENS4GREEN Projects
#EUTEENS4GREEN Awarded Beneficiaries
Green Happens
- 💡 Description
- During the project a young people from Latvia will learn how to organise events that are sustainable. We will have trainings, exchange of good practices and a practical event organizing process. "Cēsis municipality consists of 7 regions (Cēsis as region centre) including more than 41 thousand citizens. Together with friends from NGO and Cēsis Youth council every year we organize more than 15 different events for youngsters and families in Cēsis. More or less the same situation is in every one of 7 regions, together organising more than 80 different events for young people. As a part from Cēsis Youth council I see that these events are not yet sustainable and are just in a way to green transition. Therefore, through educational activities, trainings and organising events that are sustainable and takes care of topics aimed to green transition we want to change ours (and also organisations from other 6 regions) habits of how events are organised (thinking about green transition). During the project we will have trainings where professional organisations that organises large events will share their knowledge, exchange good practices and experience, will guide us through practical process how to organise events that are sustainable. As in this project will take part organisations from all 7 regions, this will give as opportunity to exchange our good practices and experience through project therefore, having larger knowledge afterwards. As the result of the project the idea is to create a guideline to green transition for other Youth organisations (with recommendations, ideas) how to better organise events so they would be more sustainable."
