EUTEENS4GREEN Projects

The project will increase youth awareness regarding sustainable development and the green transition in the region. It will create a bridge between the decision-makers and the citizens.\n\"The project will be mainly focused on the problems related to the quality of the air in the region and the specifics of the Green Deal. \n- We will start with an opening event which will include a meeting with the decision-makers and citizens (more particularly young people). There we will present the future activities that we will implement during the project and we will have an open discussion about the green transition in the region with the experts. \n- Our next activity will be related to the importance of keeping our cities clean and the importance to have a civic education. We will clean certain areas (with the assistance of the municipality) of the city of Galabovo and we will have a discussion with the youngsters. \n- The next activity will be a competition for an eco-booklet named ,,Ecology and Us\"\". There will be 5 winners and we will share the best booklets with the community. The idea behind this activity is to involve the youngsters with ecological topics and provoke them to think creatively. \n- Next, we will make a round table discussion with an aim to include the young generation in to the discussion of taking certain decisions according to the Green Deal. \n- We all know that trees are one of the most effective ways to clean polluted air. That is why we are going to plant around 300 trees and we will make a EUTEEN4GREEN x Youth Water Parliament forest. This event will be very helpful for the young people because they will contribute to the surrounding environment and during the time they will see how the trees are growing. We all believe that this will make them more conscious and more careful when it comes to ecology. \n- In addition to that activity, we will install bird feeders that we will make from scratch and we will place them in the trees. This will be also an educational, practical event - a workshop where young people will learn about the problems of non-migratory birds in urban areas with the aim of their conservation.\n- Our last event will be the closing event where we will make a summary of the activities carried out and a presentation of a compendium containing all the materials created during the project. We will collect everything in ,,A Little Book of Green Ideas\"\".
