Educational web application for raising teens' awareness about just transition

💡 Description: JUSTRAPP is a gamified educational web app that aims to raise teens' awareness about just transition through interactive questions and activities. JUSTRAPP is an innovative educational web application that aims to raise awareness among teens about the concept of Just Transition. The project recognizes that teenagers are key stakeholders in the Just Transition process, as they are directly affected by changes to the economy and job market that will impact their educational and career opportunities. However, teenagers often lack basic information and understanding of the critical ongoing just transition processes that will have a considerable impact on their future. To address this gap in knowledge, JUSTRAPP will begin by conducting an online questionnaire to gain insight into the previous knowledge of teens regarding green transition and to find out what they are interested in learning about the topic. The data will be collected and analyzed to obtain both a clear image of their awareness and appropriate feedback about the content and structure of the mobile application. The next step is conducting extensive research and gathering the data and information to be included in the knowledge quiz, based mainly on material provided by official sources of the EU or national ones. The project team will pay special attention to the phrasing of questions, which should be easily understood by young teenagers. The mobile application, which will be developed by YoltLabs, will be tailored-made to teens' needs with the maximum possible impact. Before launching the application, the team will test its functionality and usability with a small group of teens to ensure that the web application's interface is modern, interactive, and user-friendly, and helps users learn from the content of the questions included. The final step is the diffusion of the application and the actions for promoting it, including social media ads, local press, info days, meetings with Teens' Students Councils, leaflets, and educational events and workshops. The project team will evaluate and measure the impact of the application and make any necessary upgrades or changes. The team's goal is to provide policy-makers with meaningful interaction based on JUSTRAPP feedback to support teens' ideas and solutions to challenges. Overall, JUSTRAPP aims to be a comprehensive and effective tool for raising awareness among teens about the importance of just transition and their role in shaping a more sustainable and equitable future.
