- 💡 Description
- The project idea is to connect the youth in Jiu Valley with the mining heritage with the objective that transition will not break the youngster-community bond.\n\"Because transition always comes with uncertainty and change, it usually develops anxiety and when we are building the future we must not forget the pillars that the society has been formed on. In Jiu Valley, ever since the 1980s mining was the most important source of income but, in the same time, it was the playground of children, the driver for cultural activities , the place where cultural exchanges have happened. It was a context of specific architecture, day-to-day habits, community involvement mechanisms (unionized, street art events, etc.) All these have formed an identity. Transition is, as upper mentioned, a disruptive process and members of community and especially youngsters are looking with circumspect eyes. Without an local identity, without activities of awareness regarding the heritage and history of the region, the possibility to migrate raises exponentially because it is very hard to define a new future in the collective mind of the community. But, to have a clear understanding of what was the development of the regions since 200 years, to be given examples of hardworking people, to understand the distress and sacrifices done in mining times at a young age is a motivator to stick by a community to engage and to support its transition into being a JUST transition. \nThere is a very small knowledge of the history of the region, heritage that came with industrialization within youngsters, little activities are done to exemplify the engagement of workers and less than little activities that put into debate the transition process, why is needed, what are the costs aside from those material and what do we need to keep from the process \nThis project aims to put \"\"transition\"\" concept at a grass root level, debate on its justness, what are the youngster's view but in a context of identity knowledge.\nThe following activities are planned for the project\n\nA1.
